The meeting, co-organised by bioDISCOVERY, brought together more than 50 scientists to provide input into the Draft Global Biodiversity Framework, proposed by a Working Group of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The report aims to offer scientific guidance to the development of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, focussing on its contribution to the 2030 Mission and 2050 Vision of the Convention on Biological Diversity. In the this report, the experts provide a synthesis of the scientific and technical justification, evidence base and feasibility for outcome-oriented goals on nature and its contributions to people, including biodiversity at different levels from genes to biomes.
The report is submitted as an INF Document to the 24th SBSTTA meeting of the CBD, to be held in autumn this year. Download a copy of the report.
